Today I did nothing.
Which is to say: I ate the fluffy pancakes you made, and picked up a prescription, and carted two plant stands and a blanket ladder from a neighbor, and ran two loads of laundry, and napped.
You took the legs off the plant stands in order to re-attach them more securely, but didn't actually re-attach them, so now the legs and the tabletops are lying, mise en place, on the armchair I got from a different neighbor weeks ago.
The dust also waits. Boxes wait. Notebooks, the blank one, and the ones dark with ink.
I feel like I've been rowing across an ocean all summer, and I have arrived now, not entirely but most of the way, and can begin to deal with the dust and the boxes and the unread emails, and the read ones marked unread.
Thanks for sticking with me through these lean times. Stronger stuff is coming.
